The president of the Democratic Party of Moldova, Vlad Plahotniuc says that President Igor Dodon remarked at the meeting that Moldova is in a political blockage and was interested in the position and vision of PDM in the post-electoral situation.
As TRIBUNA informs, Vlad Plahotniuc mentioned that he transmitted to the head of state that PDM is open to dialogue with all parties that want to avoid the political crisis and the economic and social consequences that could be in Moldova as a result of this blockage.
“In this context, PDM intends to form a parliamentary majority as soon as possible in order to stabilize the situation in the country, to stop uncertainty and solve problems of citizens. If, as a result of the political blockage, early elections take place, it will be the merit of other political parties but not of PDM. We, PDM, are open to political dialogue, flexible, we have a firm determination to form a stable, responsible and efficient government for the people, “the Democrat said.
Referring to the announcement made today by the Bloc NOW to appoint Andrei Năstase – Speaker, and Maia Sandu – Premier, Vlad Plahotniuc said that “it’s a little strange.”
“It is strange, because I invited them to negotiations, which implied the prospects of a common government, priorities, and we offered functions, perhaps more than they wanted themselves. They refused. They have now proposed one another. It’s a little strange, but I want to tell them that in order to elect the Speaker and Premier, it is absolutely necessary to constitute a parliamentary majority, based on clear principles. We expect them to negotiate and we will have new questions and we will give them answers”, Plahotniuc said.
