Marian Lupu about the position of head of the Court of Accounts: I consider that leaving the politics shouldn't happen at once with the physical death

Marian Lupu, the president of the parliamentary fraction of the Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM), today took part in the interview for the position of head of the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova (CCRM), and later he made statements about the position, but also about the withdrawal from politics.

As TRIBUNA informs, Marian Lupu said that the interview went well, he had extensive and interesting discussions with members of the Economy, Budget and Finance Committee.

‘’14 years in government services, 14 years in Parliament. At 7-8 years, psychologically, changes are recommended. However, 14 years in Parliament are enough. I consider that the departure of politics is not done at once with physical death. We made a decision in this regard in the autumn after a broad analysis. It can be a break from politics, it can be a departure forever, we will see, “the Democrat said.

At the same time, Marian Lupu said that the position of president of the CCRM suits him for several reasons. “This position comes with certain criteria that I agree. You do not have administrative heads, CCRM decides their areas of activity etc. “, he said.

Lupu said that, after his coming to the court, he will need 1-2 months of analysis, consultation with other members, and then will conclude if it is necessary to change something or not in the Court’s system of activity.

We remind that Marian Lupu was the only candidate who filed the file for the position os head of the CCRM. If he will be declared the winner of the contest, he will be appointed by Parliament for a 5-year term.
