The Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM) today launched a web page dedicated to the parliamentary elections – www.candidat.md.

As TRIBUNA informs, in a press conference, the PDM vice-president Vlad Cebotari said: “Because in Moldova the elections will be held after the new mixed electoral system, but also because the voters need to know who to vote in their constituency, apart for the fact that they have a ballot on the national constituency, we want to help the citizens to be more informed.

“We thought to help people know PDM candidates better and be correctly informed. To this end, in addition to distributing of the leaflets and pieces of information we make, we made a change on the official PDM website, we added the 2019 elections, which can be easily accessed and once accessed, will open the page candidat.md”- the Democrat said.

According to Cebotari, on this page, the information is structured in four categories: candidates in uninominal constituencies, candidates in the national constituency, PDM’s manifesto and the map of constituencies. In the category “Candidates in uninominal constituencies” we have drawn up the list of all candidates we have, in the order of the electoral constituencies. If we want to find information about one candidate or another, then it is enough to press on the photo of the candidate and we will see a short presentation of him and his electoral program. In the category “Candidates in the national constituency” is exactly the same principle, the list in the order of the candidates registered in the CEC, the biography of each candidate, in order to know them better. The PDM Manifesto – is our promise or electoral program. It is a very well-thought document and it is nothing more than what we have collected with our colleagues at meetings with citizens. These are the priorities written by the citizens, only that we have collected them and gave them some form and we want to implement  them in the next 4 years.” Map of constituencies ” was introduced to inform citizens about the real boundaries of each constitution. Each person, accessing a region, sees the candidate assigned to the respective constituency, “Cebotari said.

The Democrat also said he hopes that this web page will be useful for both citizens and candidates.
