An impressive collection of unprecedented historical images was sent to the Parliament from the archive of the State Agency for Information (AIS) Moldpres and National Public Broadcasting (PNA) Institution Teleradio – Moldova, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.

The images are accessible to the general public on flickr and youtube accounts of the Parliament.

The pictures present images of the events in the history of the Parliament of Moldova. It was about the establishment of the first democratic Parliament on 23 May 1991, the signing of the Declaration of Independence of Moldova, the adoption of the Constitution and state symbols, and atmosphere of the Legislative in 1993 – 2011.

The initiative to create the parliament archive belongs to the speaker Andrian Candu, who made last year steps to AIS Moldpres, PNA Institution Teleradio – Moldova and the National Archive of Moldova (ANM) and the National Archives of Romania.

In the next period, there is to be received a series of historical documents related to the activity of the Country Councils and the Supreme Soviet of MSSR from the National Archives of Moldova and the National Archives of Romania.

In 2017, at the initiative of Andrian Candu, it was created the Parliament Museum.
