Igor Dodon held a working meeting with the Bashkan of the Gagauz autonomy Irina Vlah. The parties discussed results of the past year and reviewed the work plan for the year 2019.

“In particular, I supported the idea of Bashkan Irina Vlah on holding in March a Forum of Regions with the participation of the leadership of Gagauzia and ten regions of the Russian Federation, with which autonomy concluded cooperation agreements.

In addition, I transmitted through Bashkan an invitation to the deputies of the Gagauzian National Assembly in the near future to visit the building of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Moldova. Guests from the autonomy will visit the Great Hall of meetings of the first Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, where in 1994 the Law “On the Special Legal Status of Gagauzia (Gagauz Yeri)” was adopted,” President Igor Dodon said.
