Moldovan Democrats approve list of candidates for parliamentary elections

The National Political Council of the Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM) met this morning and approved the list of candidates for the parliamentary elections of 24 February 2019.

According to the Democrats’ press service, the PDM’s national list includes 53 names and was decided by the vote of members of the National Political Council (CPN).

Candidates for uninominal constituencies, 51 in number, have been consulted beforehand with the territorial organizations, and at the session of the National Political Council were presented and then voted also with the votes of all CPN members.

Also, the CPN called on all organizations and members of the PDM to fully support the party’s candidates and mobilize for the next electoral campaign.

The list of candidates can be accessed on the PDM website. The first on the list is leader Vlad Plahotniuc, followed by Prime Minister Pavel Filip and speaker Andrian Candu. In the first ten are also found: Constantin Botnari, Monica Babuc, Vasile Bitca, Sergiu Sirbu, Vladimir Cebotari, Vladimir Andronachi and Dumitru Diacov.
