Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu has had a telephone conversation with Speaker of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.

The sides discussed current issues on the bilateral and regional agenda. Candu reiterated solidarity with Ukraine and reconfirmed support for the right of Ukrainians to use territorial waters according to international law.

Andriy Parubiy thanked Candu for firmly condemning the Russian Federation’s aggression towards Ukraine, and called on the international community to apply all instruments of international law to prevent the escalation of the situation in the region.

In this context, Parubiy strongly supported the initiative of the Moldovan side to sign the Joint Declaration of the Parliaments of Moldova, Georgia and Ukraine on cooperation in combating hybrid threats in the three countries.
