The management of the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry and the Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Ministry will be changed. The leader of the Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM), Vlad Plahotniuc, today made statements to this effect at the end of the formation’s weekly meeting.   

According to Plahotniuc, the former managers have consciously fulfilled their obligations; yet, a more dynamic pace is needed in the two sectors.

“The people due to be changed from these positions have worked seriously, have done their job, but citizens want quicker results and a more efficient communication. Besides, comprehensive projects are to be launched in the sectors subjected to reshuffling and a more courageous approach is needed,” Plahotniuc noted.

The Democrats’ leader also said that PDM would put forward Nicolae Ciubuc and Silvia Radu for the two vacant offices.

Thus, Silvia Radu will take over the management of the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry and Nicolae Ciubuc – the one of the Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Ministry.

Ministers Svetlana Cebotari and Liviu Volconovici were sworn in office on 10 January 2018.
