The Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM) is committed to maintain the pro-Western course of Moldova. PDM leader Vlad Plahotniuc made the statement at a meeting with Texas Congressman Ted Poe in the USA.

The two officials discussed issues related to the economic situation in Moldova and the reforms made in the last period.

“We also talked about the Transnistrian issue and the need to fight propaganda coming from Russia. Another topic was focused on strengthening our energy security,” Plahotniuc said.

For his part, Poe praised Moldova’s progress in recent years, emphasized the importance of maintaining the country’s western road and reaffirmed support of further development of relations between the United States and Moldova.

Plahotniuc was accompanied by PDM deputy heads Andrian Candu and Vlad Cebotari.
