The voters from the settlements where new local polls are to be held on 20 May can check the correctness of the compilation of the electoral lists, both at the precincts of the polling stations and online, by accessing the webpage of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC).

According to CEC, if inconsistencies are discovered, voters may ask for changes in the electoral lists. Applications may be submitted till 19 May.

At the same time, the citizens who have questions concerning the organization and holding of local polls can call at the line of voters’ informing: (+373) 22 88 01 01. The phone line will work also on 19 May starting from 8:00 till 18:00 and on the election day, 20 May, beginning with 5:00 till 24:00.

The elections of mayors in seven settlements will take place on 20 May: Chisinau and Balti municipalities, Leuseni and Nemteni villages, Hancesti district, Volovita village, Soroca district, Jora de Mijloc village, Orhei district and Parlita village, Ungheni district.

Twelve candidates were registered for the race for the Chisinau mayor office, of whom one has been excluded.
