On the sidelines of the working visit to the USA, Foreign and European Integration Minister Tudor Ulianovschi met the German Marshall Fund leadership on 31 January. The talks were focused on the importance of advancing efforts within the US-Moldova Strategic Dialogue, the MAEIE’s public diplomacy, strategic communication and media relations service has reported.

Also, the officials approached the priorities of Moldovan diplomacy for this year, as well as the bilateral agenda with the USA, including via developments and cooperation perspectives Moldova-USA in the regional geopolitical context.

Executive Vice President at the German Marshall Fund Derek Chollet spoke about GMF’s interest in developments in Moldova, and underlined the importance of GMF’s projects aimed at strengthening Moldova’s democracy and sovereignty.

The sides agreed on the continuity of cooperation to support the country’s efforts to achieve the government’s priority goals on ensuring the continuity of efforts to implement the Association Agreement with the EU, as well as backing efforts to advance the Moldova-US bilateral agenda.
