Dodon on the referendum: "We have a chance for a better life! And we have no moral right to miss it! "

This Sunday, November 19, a referendum on the resignation of the mayor of the capital, Dorin Chirtoaca will take place. According to the head of the republic Igor Dodon, there is already a big victory, because all previous attempts to hold a referendum on this or that issue were blocked by the ruling majority.

On the occasion of the forthcoming referendum, the President of Moldova addressed the citizens.

“Dear residents of Chisinau!

On Sunday, November 19, a referendum will be held in the capital, where the Mayor of Chisinau, Dorin Chirtoaca, will be dismissed. This is a long-awaited referendum for all those who can no longer tolerate corruption in the mayor’s office and the chaos in the city.

We may have different views and political preferences, but we are all united by the fact that we are residents of the city of Chisinau, and we all want it to be modern, civilized, developed, with a high quality of life and security. We must understand that if the situation does not change, until the new general local elections of 2019 everything that still remains will be destroyed, and will be even more difficult to revive the capital.

Dear residents of the capital! On November 19, it will not be decided who will lead Chisinau. If the referendum is successful, early elections of the mayor will be organized, and each of you will decide who deserves this post.

On November 19, we do NOT choose between East and West. We need to understand that the November 19 referendum is our chance to end chaos and uncertainty in the capital! This is our chance for a better life! And we do not have the moral right to miss it!”, Says the President’s address.
