During the official visit to Strasbourg, the Delegation of the Shor Party had a working meeting with the member of the EU-Moldova Parliamentary Association Committee, the politician Alberto Cirio.

The MEP  Alberto Cirio is well acquainted with the  polics of the Republic of Moldova and knows in detail the  social-political aspects and realities of our country.

During the talks with the deputy chairwoman of the Shor Party and the lawyers of the Mayor of Orhei, ILAN SHOR, the MEP announced his  intent to visit Moldova in the nearest future  and to address the issues related to the protection of ILAN SHOR’s rights with the top leadership of the country: “Before I visit the Republic of Moldova, I will include the issue regarding the case of ILAN SHOR on the agenda of discussions with the President of the State. Based on the  official letter sent by you, I will raise the issue of fair and transparent  assistance in this case at the highest level of discussion. I call for an immediate response from the  top leadership of the Republic of Moldova  to the situation created”, declared Alberto CIRIO.

It should be noted that the  Italian politician Alberto CIRIO (the Political Party “Forza Italia”) represents the political faction  the European People’s Party, which is the most influential political group in the European Parliament. ALBERTO CIRIO is a member of the EU-Moldova Parliamentary Association Committee.

We would like to remind that representatives of Shor Party and lawyers of ILAN SHOR have been invited to the European Parliament for public debates on the constraints and violation of ILAN SHOR’s rights. This meeting will be held in Strasbourg tomorrow, 14 June.

The meeting with MEP Alberto Cirio is one of the meetings planned on the eve of the main meeting and consultations with the members of the European Parliament representing different European Union states and political groups within the European Parliament.
