On the eve of 9 May on the occasion of the Victory Day all veterans from Orhei received 10,000 lei as a gift from the mayor Ilan Sor, as TRIBUNA reports.

The congratulatory message and the money prize from the mayor was handed personally by deputy mayor Reghina Apostolova, and by Pavel Verejan acting as the president of the “For Orhei” political faction of the Municipal Council. They personally visited the veterans at home, congratulated them, handed them the gift and a bouquet of flowers, wished them health and well-being, expressing also the gratitude on the part of mayor. On this occasion, they had the opportunity to discuss with the veterans, to find out about the problems and needs they face daily.

The personal greeting of the Orhei veterans is not the only event organized by the mayor’s team on the eve of 9 May. Previously, food parcels were handed over on his behalf to all veterans from Chisinau, Calarasi and Cahul.

The social domain is a priority for the mayor’s team, and the care for the elderly – retired and veterans – has become a visiting card of Mr. Ilan Sor.
