President of the Republic of Moldova Igor Dodon met with representatives of the International Monetary Fund, who stay these days in our country on a visit. As part of the conversation, the President voiced his clear position concerning the further cooperation, which, according to Dodon, had to be in interests of Moldova.

“I emphasized that, on the one hand, I am concerned, on the other hand, I do not support many of the provisions of the Memorandum of Cooperation with the Republic of Moldova in regard to the pension system, freezing the growth of wages, tariff increases, limiting the volume of money allocated for subsidies agriculture, “- said the Head of State.

In addition, the President of Moldova said that intended to block the law on tax amnesty. The President also touched the theme of the cancellation of the law on billion.

“I said that in the current circumstances, the Government, together with the Foundation has found the simplest solution to place the return of stolen money on the shoulders of citizens. I categorically oppose that Moldovan citizens have to return the stolen money. I stated that would insist on the cancellation of the law on the billion and will make every effort this money to be returned by those who were involved in this theft, I will insist that all perpetrators are punished and the property of all those who directly or indirectly participated in the crime is confiscated and sold, ” – said Igor Dodon.

The Head of State also drew the attention of the IMF to the fact that the first meeting of the Supreme Security Council would be devoted to the problem of money stolen from the financial and banking system of the country.

“There are other solutions for the return of the stolen billion. In the near future I will inform openly my position. We agreed to work on the level of experts on this issue”, – concluded the President of the Republic of Moldova.
