Moldovan PM says not to give way to president's demarche on recalling ambassador to Romania

Prime Minister Pavel Filip today received a demarche by President Igor Dodon on a proposal to recall Moldovan Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Romania Mihai Gribincea; yet, the PM will not give way to this request, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

It is worth mentioning that President Igor Dodon asked the government to initiate a procedure of recalling Moldova’s extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador to Romania, after the latter, at a TV programme, had said that Dodon’s decree on withdrawing the Moldovan citizenship from former Romanian president Traian Basescu might be declared unconstitutional.
