President of the Republic of Moldova Igor Dodon had a meeting today with the Socialist deputy in the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova Eduard Smirnov, the Dean of the Parliament, who, according to the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova, is due to chair the first sitting of the newly elected Legislative.

As TRIBUNA informs, in a post on social networking, Igor Dodon mentioned that he discussed details of the scenario of the first session of the Parliament and the date of its convocation.

“I mention that, according to the Constitution, the sitting of the new Legislature is convened by the President of the Republic of Moldova no later than 30 days from the elections, that is until 25 March, current.
