The Head of State’s Speech

“Defending democracy has never been more difficult, more complex, or more urgent” was the central message of President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu’s speech at an event marking the 35th anniversary of the establishment of the Council of Europe’s Venice Commission. On the sidelines of the event, Maia Sandu held meetings with Council of Europe Secretary General Alain Berset and President of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe, Marc Cools.

PDCM Meeting

The Party of Development and Consolidation of Moldova (PDCM), part of the Alternative Bloc, convened its National Political Council. The main topics discussed at the meeting included the results of the parliamentary elections held on 28 September 2025 and the format of PDCM representatives’ activities in the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova.
