The National Justice Party (PDN) is the newest political party established in the Republic of Moldova. The party held its founding congress on 27 September 2026 and is currently awaiting official registration. Speaking on the UNInterviu programme on Unimedia.info, party chairman Iulian David said the idea of establishing the political formation emerged during discussions about the situation in the country.
“The idea of creating the party emerged during discussions. There are several businesspeople in my circle, and we discuss politics together. The idea came about when we realized that we could no longer keep hoping for solutions to our problems and that we needed to get involved. We then decided to establish a new party because we have different ideas and perspectives from those already represented in our political landscape,” he said.
Iulian David explained how the party’s name, the National Justice Party, was chosen.
“The name reflects what we want to achieve: JUSTICE is what many people expect but do not receive. NATIONAL refers to the national interest, the interests of citizens, and the interests of the Republic of Moldova,” he explained.
The politician noted that 90% of the party’s founders are businesspeople from the Republic of Moldova, while its members come from various backgrounds, including mayors, public officials, and activists.
“When we held our congress, we had more than 1,100 people, but we continue to receive membership applications every day. Our membership has now approximately doubled. At the time of the party’s establishment, we had 12 territorial organizations, and work to establish new ones is ongoing,” he said.
The PDN chairman also stated that several members of parliament are providing advice to the party, although they are not currently members, at least for the time being.
“I will not say which parliamentary factions they belong to or who they are. But even though they walk the corridors of Parliament, they are dissatisfied with what is happening,” the political leader said, adding that the lawmakers are helping to strengthen a new political force.
According to Iulian David, the PDN is a centre-right conservative party that intends to put citizens’ interests first.
“We have discussed and continue to discuss things with people, and we want to meet their expectations,” he emphasized.
Regarding the party’s sources of funding, the chairman stated that they are entirely legal.
“We have already been placed in whoever’s pockets people want us to be in. We have been told that if we do not belong to the government, then we must belong to its enemies. We have been associated with all former politicians,” Iulian David stressed.
