The Republic of Moldova is ready to open the four remaining negotiation chapters, President Maia Sandu said today during a phone call with European Council President António Costa. The conversation took place one week ahead of the European Council meeting scheduled for 15–16 October, whose agenda includes EU enlargement and reforms, TRIBUNA reports.

The two officials also discussed pre-accession policies and the European Union’s preparations for the enlargement process, presented by the European Commission on 6 October, as well as the accession roadmaps that the Commission is preparing for the most advanced candidate countries, including the Republic of Moldova.
