“An important result today in Brussels: the Republic of Moldova will receive a new €157 million tranche from the Growth Plan after fulfilling 18 reform commitments. This means additional resources for investments in transport, energy, water and sanitation, healthcare, and education. It is also confirmation that what we are doing at home — the reforms we are completing and the institutions we are strengthening — is turning into concrete opportunities for the country’s development,” said Alexei Buzu, Secretary General of the Government, TRIBUNA reports.
According to him, the 10th meeting of the Republic of Moldova–EU Association Council addressed the progress achieved, the next stages of the accession process, and priorities for the period ahead.
“European integration is achieved through completed reforms, better-functioning institutions, and results that citizens can see in their everyday lives. With every commitment fulfilled, we move closer to our goal.
I thank my colleagues in the institutions of the Republic of Moldova who contributed to this result, as well as our European partners for their support and confidence in our country.
We continue to work responsibly for the people of the Republic of Moldova,” Alexei Buzu added.
