Prime Minister Discusses Austria’s strong support for Moldova’s European path and stressed that it is essential for the country to advance in Accelerating Moldova’s European Path with the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria
Prime Minister Vasile Tofan met with Martina Hermann, Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to the Republic of Moldova. The discussions focused on accelerating Moldova’s European path, the Government’s reform agenda, and the development of economic and investment cooperation between the two countries, TRIBUNA reports.
The Prime Minister praised Austria’s strong support for Moldova’s European path and stressed that it is essential for the country to advance in the accession negotiations and open all clusters by the end of this year.
“We now have a real window of opportunity that we must seize. We are moving forward with ambitious reforms, and we want these efforts to be accompanied by concrete progress in the process of joining the European Union,” the Prime Minister said.
Ambassador Martina Hermann reiterated Austria’s support for Moldova’s European path and commended the authorities’ efforts to implement reforms.
The parties also discussed expanding economic cooperation and the interest of Austrian companies in investing in Moldova, including in projects under the Growth Plan. Austria is among the country’s leading foreign investors, with more than 90 companies with Austrian capital operating in Moldova.
