The Parliament of the Republic of Moldova will host the 109th Rose-Roth Seminar, organized in cooperation with the NATO Parliamentary Assembly (NATO PA). The event will take place on October 6–7 and will bring together parliamentarians, representatives of government authorities, experts, academics and members of the diplomatic corps. NATO PA President Marcos Perestrello will also attend the event and is scheduled to meet with Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu, TRIBUNA reports.
Participants will discuss the future of the Republic of Moldova in the Euro-Atlantic space, including lessons on strengthening resilience in a challenging strategic environment.
The seminar will feature several discussion sessions focusing on regional security and Moldova’s security in the context of Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, energy security from the Black Sea to the Persian Gulf, resilience, and the NATO PA–Moldova partnership in a changing Euro-Atlantic security environment.
Another topic will be the situation in the Black Sea region during wartime and its implications for regional and Euro-Atlantic security.
Participants will also examine the development of the NATO PA–Moldova partnership, identify priorities for future cooperation and explore areas where parliamentary engagement and international partnerships can contribute to strengthening Moldova’s resilience and advancing its European integration agenda.
The seminar will also assess how Russia’s war against Ukraine has deepened regional security interdependence and examine Moldova’s role both as a country on the frontline and as a contributor to regional stability.
The NATO PA is an interparliamentary organization bringing together 281 parliamentarians from the 32 member states of the North Atlantic Alliance, as well as from partner countries.
Since October 2025, the Republic of Moldova has held the status of a Comprehensive Security Partner of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
