Valdis Dombrovskis, European Commissioner for Economy and Productivity, Implementation and Simplification, will make his first working visit to the Republic of Moldova on October 1–2, reports TRIBUNA.

On the first day, he will meet with President Maia Sandu, Prime Minister Vasile Tofan, members of the Government, and representatives of the business community. The discussions will focus on Moldova’s Growth Plan, investments, and steps aimed at bringing the country’s economy closer to the European single market.

He will also meet with Anca Dragu, Governor of the National Bank of Moldova, and deliver a speech at the NBM’s annual conference dedicated to the coordination of economic policies in the process of European integration.

On October 2, the Commissioner will meet with representatives of the Parliamentary Committee on Economy, Budget and Finance, as part of Moldova’s efforts to align its economic policies with those of the EU.
