“One year since the elections, one year of ‘governance’ in a single picture: life has become noticeably harder. A year has passed since the parliamentary elections, and the main conclusion of this period is a considerable decline in living standards,” Igor Dodon, leader of the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova, stated, TRIBUNA reports.

According to him, the promised “good times” have turned into a daily shock caused by steadily rising prices.

“Practically everything has become more expensive: from basic food products and public transport to utilities and fuel. A simple trip to the store for essential products is hitting people’s pockets increasingly hard, while electricity and gas bills are forcing people to spend their last money.

The government continues to talk about the European path and ‘standards’, but in reality, its incompetence has only led to a rapid decline in living standards, while prices are rising at a pace that people’s incomes simply cannot keep up with,” the politician added.
