From September 28–29, 2026, Minister of Energy Dorin Junghietu is participating in the Informal Meeting of EU Energy Ministers, held under the Council of the European Union’s Transport, Telecommunications and Energy (TTE) configuration in Dublin, Ireland, TRIBUNA reports.

The minister’s agenda includes a meeting with Darragh O’Brien, Ireland’s Minister for Climate, Energy and the Environment, as well as a bilateral meeting with Lukas Savickas, Lithuania’s Minister of Energy. Meetings with Irish officials and representatives of companies operating in the energy sector are also scheduled.

The minister will address Moldova’s priorities in the energy sector, European cooperation, and investment opportunities in energy efficiency, district heating, distribution, and decentralized energy solutions.

The informal meeting brings together energy ministers from EU member states, representatives of the European Commission, and invited partners for an exchange of views on the strategic priorities of the energy transition and European cooperation in the energy sector.
