The Central Electoral Council of Gagauzia has established the electoral councils for the first-level electoral constituencies of Comrat, Ceadîr-Lunga, and Vulcănești, as part of preparations for the elections to the People’s Assembly of Gagauzia scheduled for November 15, 2026, TRIBUNA reports.

In the coming period, the newly established electoral councils will adopt decisions on the place and time for receiving documents for the registration of candidates for the position of deputy in the People’s Assembly of Gagauzia.

According to the electoral calendar, documents for registration as an electoral contestant may be submitted until October 6, 2026, inclusive. The full list of candidates registered in the single-member electoral constituencies is to be made public by October 14, 2026, inclusive.

Likewise, polling stations are to be established by October 11, 2026, while the electoral bureaus of the polling stations are to be established by October 21, 2026.

The elections for the People’s Assembly of Gagauzia will take place on Sunday, November 15, 2026, on the same day as the elections for the position of Governor (Bashkan) of Gagauzia.
