Two potential candidates have submitted applications to the Central Electoral Council (CEC) of Gagauzia, expressing their intention to run for the position of Governor (Bashkan) of Gagauzia in the November 15 elections, TRIBUNA reports.

According to the Council, they are:

1. Corneliu Dudnic, whose initiative group was registered yesterday and who received the signature sheets today for collecting signatures;
2. Alexandr Stoianoglo, who today officially submitted an application to the CEC of Gagauzia to register his initiative group.

Both are running as independent candidates.

We remind you that the period for submitting documents to register candidates for the position of Governor (Bashkan) of Gagauzia in the November 15, 2026 elections began on September 21, 2026.
