Activists from the National Alternative Movement (MAN) say they spent the weekend visiting communities across the country, where they spoke with residents about the problems they face.
According to the party, its representatives held hundreds of conversations with people and encountered, in many communities, concerns related to the country’s economic and social situation.
“Thousands of people. Hundreds of conversations. And almost everywhere, the same pain, the same exhaustion, and the same question: How much longer can we live like this?” the party said in a statement.
MAN claims that people are speaking about poverty, rising prices, and shortages, while those who still have the means to do so are leaving the country.
The party also says that some villages are facing dissatisfaction related to the reorganization of local public administration and the amalgamation process. According to MAN, communities are also divided by political and religious issues, as well as debates about external affairs.
“And amid all these disputes, a simple question is being lost — one that more and more people are seeking an answer to: How did we end up living such difficult lives? Who brought us to our knees?” MAN concluded.
