Igor Dodon, leader of the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova (PSRM), held a meeting today with Nick Pietrowicz, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the United States in Moldova, TRIBUNA reports.

The discussions focused on the situation in the Republic of Moldova and developments in Moldovan-American relations.

“I emphasized the importance of open and constructive dialogue between the Republic of Moldova and its external partners, based on mutual respect and focused on the benefit of citizens. I expressed hope that this dialogue will continue once the U.S. Ambassador-designate to the Republic of Moldova, Joseph Mark Burkhalter, takes office,” Igor Dodon said.
