The submission period for documents to register candidates for the position of Governor (Bashkan) of Gagauzia in the November 15, 2026 elections begins today, September 21, and will run until October 6, 2026, TRIBUNA reports.

Applications for subscription lists for independent candidates, as well as applications and required documents for registering initiative groups and electoral candidates, must be submitted to the Central Electoral Council of Gagauzia, located at 36 Tretiacov Street in Comrat, on the first floor of the City Hall building, at the Gagauzia Tourist Information Centre.

Documents may be submitted according to the following schedule:

• September 21 – October 5, 2026: Monday to Friday, from 10:00 to 16:00, with a break from 12:00 to 13:00;
• October 6, 2026: the final day for submissions, from 09:00 to 17:00, with a break from 12:00 to 13:00.

A commission has also been established to organize and conduct a draw to determine the order in which documents are received.

If two or more applicants submit their registration documents on the same day, a draw will be held at 17:00 that day to determine the order in which the electoral candidates will appear on the ballot.
