PSRM on “Moldova Project”: We already have enough ministries and agencies. Where will Mr. Tofan get an additional 50 million lei?

Deputy Speaker of Parliament and Socialist Party MP Vlad Batrîncea criticized Prime Minister Vasile Tofan’s intention to establish a new agency — the Office for the Implementation of Strategic Infrastructure Projects (“Moldova Project”), whose operation would reportedly cost approximately 50 million lei. Yesterday, in Parliament, the politician called for the prime minister to be summoned for a hearing, TRIBUNA reports.

The MP said that establishing the new structure contradicts the prime minister’s public commitments to reduce the administrative burden, the number of ministries and agencies, and to manage public funds more efficiently.

“We believe that we already have enough ministries and agencies, and we do not understand where Mr. Tofan will find an additional 50 million lei.

If this money is available, Parliament will find much more important areas where it can be allocated and spent,” Vlad Batrîncea said.
