Prime Minister Vasile Tofan will pay a working visit to New York from September 23 to 26, where he will participate in the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, TRIBUNA reports.
The Prime Minister’s agenda includes bilateral meetings with heads of government, discussions with representatives of the U.S. business community, as well as a meeting with Moldovan citizens residing in the United States.
During the discussions, the Prime Minister will focus on strengthening economic and investment relations, attracting U.S. investments, and promoting the opportunities offered by the Republic of Moldova. The talks will also address the country’s European path and security developments in the region.
The head of the government in Chișinău will deliver a speech before the UN General Assembly. The speech can be watched live on the Government’s official Facebook page on September 26, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Moldova time.
The UN General Assembly is the most important international forum, with this year’s main theme being “Restoring trust and reigniting global ambition: delivering on our promises for the UN and our future.”
