The United States Ambassador-designate to the Republic of Moldova, Joseph Mark Burkhalter, took the oath of office before Secretary of State Marco Rubio this week, TRIBUNA reports.

“Congratulations to U.S. Ambassador-designate to the Republic of Moldova Joseph Mark Burkhalter, who took the oath of office before Secretary of State Rubio this week.

The U.S. Embassy in the Republic of Moldova looks forward to welcoming Ambassador-designate Burkhalter to Chișinău and working under his leadership to further strengthen the enduring relationship between our two countries,” the U.S. Embassy in Chișinău said in a message.
