Foreign Ministry Hosts Coordination Meeting with the European Union Partnership Mission and National Authorities

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted a coordination meeting with the European Union Partnership Mission in the Republic of Moldova (EUPM) and national authorities, dedicated to implementing the EUPM Action Plan for 2025–2027, TRIBUNA reports.

The meeting addressed progress made in implementing ongoing projects, in line with the EUPM Project Plan for 2025–2027.

MAE State Secretary Valeriu Mija and Secretary of the National Security Council and Presidential Adviser Stanislav Secrieru expressed appreciation for the EUPM’s contribution to strengthening the capacities of national authorities in crisis management and countering hybrid threats, including in the areas of cybersecurity and combating disinformation.

For her part, EUPM Head of Mission Kirsten Joppe reaffirmed the Mission’s commitment to supporting the implementation of the priorities established for 2025–2027 in a flexible manner, adapted to the needs and priorities of national institutions.

At the end of the meeting, the participants discussed prospects for a possible extension of the Mission’s mandate, as well as the possibility of adjusting EUPM’s activities under the next mandate, depending on the needs and priorities of the authorities of the Republic of Moldova, in order to effectively address hybrid security challenges and threats and contribute to maintaining peace and stability.
