Ion Ceban, General Mayor of the Municipality of Chisinau, invites residents and visitors of the capital to the 25th Ethnofestival on September 20, starting at 10:00 a.m., in “Stefan cel Mare si Sfant” Public Garden, TRIBUNA reports.
“This is a celebration of friendship and the diversity of cultures and traditions that unite us here, at home.
Together with representatives of Chisinau’s ethnic communities and those from across the country, we will celebrate diversity through music, dance, traditions, and gastronomy,” the mayor said.
Chisinau City Hall, together with representatives of the ethnic communities, will prepare Ukrainian borscht, Moldovan mamaliga with tocana, Bulgarian banitsa, gözleme, and other culinary delicacies for festival guests, all of which will be offered free of charge.
As it does every year, Chisinau City Hall is organizing the event together with the Agency for Interethnic Relations.
According to Ion Ceban, there are 19 ethnocultural associations active in the capital, with which the municipality has developed excellent cooperation and through which numerous joint projects and events are carried out.
“Chisinau is home for everyone!” the General Mayor concluded.
