Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu held meetings with Zoran Stevanović, President of the National Assembly of Slovenia, and Danijel Krivec, Vice President of the National Assembly, during his working visit to Slovenia, TRIBUNA reports.
During his meeting with his Slovenian counterpart, Zoran Stevanović, Igor Grosu spoke about the Republic of Moldova’s European path and the progress being made in implementing accession reforms. “This autumn is a very important period for us: we are set to adopt around 200 pieces of legislation that will bring us even closer to European standards and to our goal of becoming a member state of the European Union,” said the Speaker of Parliament.
In this context, the Parliament Speaker noted that “Slovenia’s experience is valuable for the Republic of Moldova. Slovenia used the prospect of accession to carry out reforms, modernize its institutions, and integrate rapidly and successfully into the European Union.”
