During a visit to Ashgabat, a delegation of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, led by PSRM MP Petru Burduja, held a meeting with Dunyagozel Gulmanova, Chairwoman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, TRIBUNA reports.

The discussions focused on developing interparliamentary dialogue, expanding bilateral cooperation, and identifying new areas of collaboration between the Republic of Moldova and Turkmenistan.

The Moldovan MPs also participated in the first meeting of the Interparliamentary Friendship Group between the Republic of Moldova and Turkmenistan.

“I am convinced that the establishment of a dedicated bilateral group will be an important step toward strengthening parliamentary relations and will help give new impetus to cooperation between our countries,” said Igor Dodon, president of the PSRM parliamentary faction.
