MP Marcel Spatari has been appointed head of the Parliamentary Committee on Economy, Budget and Finance, while Adrian Băluțel has been appointed chairman of the Committee on European Integration. The respective appointments are provided for in a draft resolution approved by Parliament, TRIBUNA reports.
According to the document, Adrian Băluțel has also been included in the membership of the Permanent Bureau. The changes were made at the request of the parliamentary faction of the Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS).
In addition, changes were approved in several other parliamentary committees. Iurie Levinschi was appointed deputy chairman of the Committee on Agriculture and Food Industry, while Valeriu Robu became secretary of the same committee. Victor Mătrăgune was appointed a member of the committee, filling a vacant position.
Ion Groza was appointed deputy chairman of the Committee on Foreign Policy, while Roman Roșca was included as a member of the committee.
Twelve standing committees have been established in Moldova’s 12th Parliament. The standing committees are working bodies of Parliament. They examine draft laws and legislative proposals in order to prepare reports or opinions on them, conduct parliamentary inquiries, and discuss and decide on other matters, including those assigned to them by the Speaker of Parliament or the Deputy Speakers.
