Igor Dodon, leader of the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova, said that through its fiscal policy for 2027, the PAS party intends to collect an additional 5 billion lei from citizens and the economy by increasing taxes, excise duties, and prices, TRIBUNA reports.

“This means an additional burden for every citizen. Debts, already at historic levels after 35 years of independence, will increase even further.

Igor Dodon recalled that the Socialists had proposed five urgent measures that could halt the decline in economic policies and give the country a chance for economic development, but that these proposals were completely ignored by the current government.
