Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova Mihai Popșoi will pay an official visit to Sofia, Bulgaria, on September 9, at the invitation of his Bulgarian counterpart, Velislava Petrova, reports TRIBUNA.

During the visit, Moldova’s Foreign Minister will meet with Bulgaria’s Foreign Minister, Velislava Petrova. Following their talks, the two ministers will hold a joint press conference, scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m.

The programme will also include meetings with the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Iliana Iotova; the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mihaela Dotsova; Deputy Prime Minister Ivo Hristov; the Chair of the National Assembly’s Foreign Policy Committee, Petar Vitanov; and the Chair of the Bulgaria–Moldova Parliamentary Friendship Group, Galin Durev.

The discussions will focus on Moldova–Bulgaria relations, strengthening cooperation in areas of common interest, and Bulgaria’s support for advancing the Republic of Moldova’s European path.

Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi will also give an interview to Bulgarian National Television (BNT).
