Officers of the National Investigations Inspectorate (INI), together with police officers from the Chișinău Police Directorate, with the support of the Fulger Special Police Brigade and prosecutors from the PCCOCS, have announced the detention of a 49-year-old man suspected of unlawfully collecting information for the benefit of representatives of the special services of the Russian Federation, reports TRIBUNA.

During a search, officers seized a mobile phone containing data indicating links to a person who allegedly presented himself as an employee of the FSB.

The man was placed in pre-trial detention for 30 days. The investigation is ongoing.
