Prime Minister Vasile Tofan held a phone conversation with his Slovak counterpart, Robert Fico. The officials discussed bilateral relations between the Republic of Moldova and Slovakia, economic cooperation, and Moldova’s European path, reports TRIBUNA.
The head of the Chisinau government thanked Slovakia for its support for the Republic of Moldova, both through its backing of the country’s European path and through projects carried out under SlovakAid in areas such as good governance, healthcare, education, food security, agriculture, business development, and infrastructure. The current portfolio of projects being implemented in the Republic of Moldova is worth approximately €10 million.
The two prime ministers also discussed developing economic and trade relations and making the most of cooperation opportunities, including by attracting investment and promoting joint projects.
At the end of the conversation, the officials agreed to maintain an active dialogue and continue bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
