Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu met with Richard Kohli, the new Director of the Swiss Cooperation Office / Representative Office of the Embassy of Switzerland in the Republic of Moldova, reports TRIBUNA.

Particular attention during the meeting was paid to the “Strengthening Parliamentary Democracy in Moldova” (PADEM) project. The initiative was launched in 2025 and has already delivered concrete results: training was provided to MPs and civil servants, support was offered for the ex-ante and ex-post assessment of draft legislation, a new regulatory framework governing the organization and functioning of Parliament was developed, and IT infrastructure and live-streaming systems were modernized.

Igor Grosu expressed his gratitude to Switzerland for 25 years of close cooperation. Switzerland is one of the Republic of Moldova’s most consistent development partners. During this period, the country has received approximately 5 billion lei in assistance in the form of non-reimbursable grants for projects in healthcare, public administration, economic development and local public services.
