TRIBUNA continues its project presenting political events that took place exactly one year ago. This time, we recall what happened on September 7, 2025.

Electoral Contestants’ Ballot Order

At its meeting, the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) determined the order in which electoral contestants would appear on the ballot for the September 28, 2025 parliamentary elections. The ballot included 23 contestants. The CEC also approved the design and wording of the ballot for exercising the right to vote by correspondence in the September 28, 2025 parliamentary elections.

CNA-Managed Hotline

The Central Electoral Commission announced a hotline managed by the National Anticorruption Center (CNA) for reporting cases of illegal financial influence on voters: (+373) 78 710 116.

The “Moldoveni” Alliance Initiative

The “Moldoveni” Alliance Party presented a legislative initiative proposing the introduction of an integrated LEIMFOM system — Legislation, Education, Infrastructure, Raw Materials, Finance, People, and Information — into the national industrial plan. The party said this was the only way to launch an accelerated reindustrialization mechanism for the country.

Meetings with Citizens

Vlad Batrîncea, a parliamentary candidate from the Patriotic Bloc, together with colleagues from the municipal council and PSRM activists, met with residents of Chisinau to discuss the way forward.

Patriotic Bloc parliamentary candidates and senior Socialists Igor Dodon and Bogdan Țîrdea also met with citizens in the districts of Fălești and Sîngerei, as well as in Bălți. Renato Usatîi, leader of Our Party, held several campaign meetings in Fălești district.

Leaders of the “Alternative” Electoral Bloc continued their series of meetings with voters in Strășeni. Marian Lupu, president of the Respect Moldova Movement, met with employees and entrepreneurs from the food industry and HoReCa sectors, which are considered strategic for the national economy. The movement’s vice-president, Eugeniu Nichiforciuc, held several meetings with voters in Florești district, his home district, as well as with residents of Alexeevca village in Edineț district.

The Respect Moldova Movement also established its Territorial Organization in Ceadîr-Lunga, in the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia.

Alexei Buzu’s Remarks

After video footage emerged showing Labour and Social Protection Minister Alexei Buzu, during an electoral meeting for the Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS), referring to citizens who did not vote for PAS as “bâdle” (“boors”/“uncouth people”), representatives of the Democracy at Home Party staged a protest outside the minister’s home in Ratuș and called for his resignation.

The National Moldovan Party, Ion Ceban, and Olesea Stamate also reacted critically. Alexei Buzu responded by emphasizing that the footage had been taken out of context.

The President’s Message

President Maia Sandu condemned the attack that took place in Kyiv, Ukraine, on the night of September 6–7. The head of state expressed her support for the Ukrainian people.

Journalists at the Airport

For the second consecutive hour, several journalists gathered at Chisinau International Airport to meet former MP Constantin Țuțu, who was reportedly expected to arrive on a flight from Athens to Chisinau. Constantin Țuțu did not show up.
