Ion Ceban, Mayor of Chisinau and leader of the National Alternative Movement, made his first public appearance on Friday, September 4, following the incident and surgery on both legs he underwent in August. The politician appeared in a wheelchair and said he is being helped by his wife, Tatiana, reports TRIBUNA.
“My wife is by my side and helps me with everything. I read some of the comments on social media under the video they filmed and posted as I was arriving today at the event at the ‘Holy Trinity’ Hospital, accompanied by my wife. Some people wrote that I was being helped by a nanny, a housekeeper, or a paid woman.
I just want to say one thing: first and foremost, let’s not lose our humanity in different situations. Let’s not allow ourselves to be manipulated or misled when circumstances are deliberately created to make that happen.
An incident can happen to anyone, and we must, above all, remain human.
I sincerely thank my wife for being by my side every moment, and I am grateful to her for managing to devote herself to our family while also supporting me during this period.
Wishing everyone good health!” the mayor wrote.
