Prime Minister Vasile Tofan met with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to the Republic of Moldova, Søren Jensen. The Head of Government expressed his gratitude for Denmark’s continued support for Moldova, including in the European integration process and the implementation of projects with a direct impact on citizens, reports TRIBUNA.

Currently, Denmark’s portfolio of projects supported in the Republic of Moldova exceeds €60 million and covers areas such as energy resilience, the rule of law, cybersecurity, countering disinformation, security and defense, as well as crisis management.

Particular attention was paid to developing economic relations and attracting Danish investment into the national economy. The two officials discussed strengthening contacts between business communities and investment opportunities in areas such as the IT industry, agriculture and the agri-food sector, building energy efficiency, and green energy.

In this context, Prime Minister Vasile Tofan highlighted the advantages Moldova offers to investors and the country’s potential to serve as a platform for business development and access to regional and European markets. The parties expressed their willingness to intensify dialogue between companies from the two countries and develop new investment projects.
