37 Political Parties Eligible to Participate in Gagauzia Governor Elections

The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has published the list of 37 political parties eligible to participate in the elections for the position of Governor (Bashkan) of Gagauzia, scheduled for November 15, 2026.

The list includes:

  1. European Social Democratic Party;
  2. Party of Communists of the Republic of Moldova;
  3. Agrarian Party of Moldova;
  4. Movement of Professionals “Hope”;
  5. Liberal Party;
  6. Christian Social Union of Moldova;
  7. Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova;
  8. Green Ecologist Party;
  9. New Historical Option Party;
  10. Our Party;
  11. Republican Party of Moldova;
  12. “NOI” Party;
  13. Centrist Union of Moldova;
  14. National Liberal Party;
  15. Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova;
  16. Social-Political Movement of Roma of the Republic of Moldova;
  17. Patriots of Moldova Party;
  18. European Left Party;
  19. People’s Party of the Republic of Moldova;
  20. Democracy at Home Party;
  21. Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe;
  22. Dignity and Truth Platform Party;
  23. European National Conservative Party;
  24. Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS);
  25. Party of Common Action — Civic Congress;
  26. For People, Nature and Animals Party;
  27. MOLDOVENII Alliance Party;
  28. Change Party;
  29. Party of Development and Consolidation of Moldova;
  30. Party for the Future of Moldova;
  31. Coalition for Unity and Welfare;
  32. National Alternative Movement;
  33. Moldovan National Party;
  34. League of Cities and Communes;
  35. Respect Moldova Movement;
  36. National Reunification Party “ACASĂ”;
  37. “For the Country” Party.

At its meeting, the CEC also assigned additional responsibilities to several central public administration authorities and other entities for the electoral period covering the elections for the People’s Assembly of Gagauzia and the election of the Governor (Bashkan) of the autonomous region.

The CEC also approved the redistribution of budget allocations amounting to 7.253 million lei to provide the financial resources necessary for organizing and conducting the regional elections in the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia.

In addition, the commission approved an estimated expenditure budget of 13.608 million lei for the elections.

The CEC also established first-level electoral constituencies for the new local elections and local referendum scheduled for November 1, 2026:

  • Delacău village electoral constituency, Anenii Noi district;
  • Hăsnășenii Mari village electoral constituency, Drochia district;
  • Costești town electoral constituency, Rîșcani district;
  • Cairaclia village electoral constituency, Taraclia district;
  • Novosiolovca village electoral constituency, Taraclia district;
  • Tomai village electoral constituency, Gagauzia;
  • Chirsova village electoral constituency, Gagauzia.

The boundaries of the electoral constituencies will correspond to the boundaries of the respective administrative-territorial units.
