Prime Minister Vasile Tofan, together with his 14-year-old son, swam across the Bosphorus Strait today, reports TRIBUNA.
“In January, I promised my son that we would swim across the Bosphorus together. He trained for this race for almost a year, and I could not break my promise.
The 6.5-kilometre race started on the Asian continent and ended on the European side, exactly in the direction our country is heading.
My son was faster than me — and there are few things that make a parent happier than seeing their child surpass them.
We are returning to Chișinău with our batteries recharged and our hearts full. There is a lot of work waiting for us back home,” the Prime Minister said.
