The airspace surveillance systems operated by the National Army detected and monitored an unauthorized flight today, August 20, at 3:16 a.m., TRIBUNA reports.
A drone, preliminarily identified as a Shahed-136 (Geran-2), illegally crossed the state border from Ukraine, in the area of Cotlovina, Reni district, into the Republic of Moldova, flying in the direction of the village of Etulia, Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia.
The military-type aerial object left Moldova’s national airspace at 3:22 a.m., flying from Etulia toward Ukraine.
The flight occurred following the Russian Federation’s overnight aerial attacks on Ukraine.
